ANNUAL EVENTSMID-WINTER CONFERENCE: The Women’s Council offers the following programs and projects during the Mid-Winter Conference February of each fiscal year. This 3-day membership work session provides for the preparation of Annual Convention; leadership training for local, state, regional and national officers; educational workshops; and public affair issues. Women’s Council highlights several during the Mid Winter Conference;
1. Annual Prayer Breakfast
2. Educational Workshops through the University of Real Estate
ANNUAL CONVENTION: NAREB holds it’s National Convention each year in August. This annual gathering includes educational workshops, seminars, meetings, breakfasts, luncheons, and dinners that include nationally recognized individuals from housing and governmental entities. The Women’s Council offers the following programs and projects during the annual Convention:
1. Awards and Scholarship Luncheon
ACME AWARD- The Acme award was established in 1993 and is Women’s Council most prestigious award. Awarded annually, the Acme recipient must be an outstanding woman that has demonstrated by honorable reputation, probity and the distinction of multiple accomplishments in the field of business, politics or social services and has made a great impact amongst the African American community.

The Katrina D. Henry Scholarship was renamed in 2005 in the memory of Past President of the Women’s Council of NAREB. This scholarship is an annual scholarship awarded to students attending various colleges and universities. Big Brother Award- The BIG BROTHER Award was established to express appreciation and give recognition to a male council member, who provides exceptional support to the organization. The BIG BROTHER Recipient must be a member of the Women’s Council for at least six years and is presented every five years.
Emeritus Award- The Emeritus Award was established in 2008 to honor a Board of Governors who has been committed and dedicated to the organization.

VIVA RETREAT: In an effort to educate and motivate our membership, the Women’s Council holds its annual VIVA RETREAT, which is open to all members. The major focus is on developing ideas and strategies that would result in the extraction of meaningful opportunities. This weekend activity is held every year in October.
